Reversi is a strategy board game for two players. It was invented in the UK in 1883 and was later introduced to Japan. It is now very popular in Japan and France. The game Reversi is based on the idea of a chess board, but instead of the usual chess pieces, it uses two-sided disks. The object is to get the majority of the disks turned to display your color when the last playable empty square is filled.
There are two players, one on each side of the chessboard. They take turns and place the discs on the board, with their assigned color facing up.
